Why you need to upgrade to Windows 10

windows-10-logoI know many of you don’t want to upgrade to Windows 10. Either you have had or heard of bad experiences with it, or you love Windows 7 or 8 and are not interested. But I say it would be better for you to go ahead and upgrade now.

Microsoft will not release any new versions Windows in the future, Windows 10 is the last one. Going forward, they are just going to continuously update and upgrade Windows 10. Therefore, if you don’t upgrade by 7/29, it will cost at least $119.00 to get Windows 10.

So what are your options?

  1. Stay with Windows 7 or 8 until Microsoft sunsets them and then pay for Windows 10. (BTW, mainstream support for Windows 7 ended Jan 2015 and will end on Jan 2018 for Windows 8.)
  2. Switch to a Mac or Linux computer. Mac computers cost much more than $119.00, and you have to be highly tech savvy to install and set up a Linux computer.
  3. Go ahead and upgrade to Windows 10 before July 29th for free.

Now I’ll admit, Windows 10 does have its bugs even though it’s been out nearly a year. But for most computers, it’s been an uneventful transition. And since Microsoft won’t be releasing any new Windows ever again, it just isn’t worth paying for the bugs.
