How to recover an unsaved document

  • By Life's Digital Bits

Have you ever made changes to a document and forget to save it? There’s nothing worse than the agonizing thought of having to redo all that work again. Well, we’re in luck. There’s a feature in Word 2010 and 2013 that allows you to recover that last unsaved version.

Reopen the file and in the File tab under Info, you’ll a section called Versions. If you have the AutoSave feature enabled (which it is by default) you should see the AutoSaved version of the file. Click on the version you’re looking for and it will open for you to save it.
